What is the AICP?
The AIDS Insurance Continuation Program (AICP) is a Department of Health program for Floridians who are HIV positive or have AIDS and need help paying their health insurance premiums. If you can't afford to pay your monthly health insurance premiums because you are no longer able to work or because you are a low-income working person or parent, you may qualify for enrollment into AICP.

The Health Council of South Florida, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization that is responsible for the administration and evaluation of the AICP.

Program Benefits
Insurance premium payments, up to $750/month, paid to your employer or insurance company for medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Group, COBRA, Family and Individual policies qualify
  • Co-payments ($100/month limit)*
  • Deductible payments ($2,500/year limit)*

* Based on funding availability

Who qualiifies for AICP?
As funds allow, the AICP is open to those who meet all of the following requirements:

  • Must be determined eligible to receive HIV/AIDS Patient Care Program Services and provide proof of eligibility at the time of application.
  • Diagnosis of HIV positive (AIDS, HIV symptomatic and asymptomatic disease*)
  • Currently covered by private health insurance
  • Willing to sign all AICP forms
