The Florida Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Network The Florida Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Network is an extensive, statewide system for health professional education and support founded upon 10 regional Area Health Education Centers. Each AHEC is supported by an AHEC program at one of the state's five medical schools. This organizational structure enables the AHECs to draw upon the resources of the academic health centers in addressing local health care issues. The Florida AHEC Network has, over this past decade, addressed the primary health care needs of Florida's most vulnerable populations through a series of innovative strategies designed to:
- Extend Academic Health Resources
- Provide Information and Support for Community Providers
- Influence Health Professions Education
- Influence the Future Health Professional Work Force
Florida Hospital Association The Purpose of the Association is to advocate proactively on behalf of hospitals at the state and federal levels on issues that will assist its memebers in their mission of community services and care to patients. Currently, FHA's membership includes 163 hospitals, 20 Professional Membership Groups, and over 1,800 professional members.
Florida Respite Coalition The Mission of the Florida Respite Coalition is to strengthen the caregiver and family's ability to handle the on-going demands of caregiving.

University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital,Center for Patient Safety The UM-JMH Center for Patient Safety seeks to stimulate the growth of patient safety knowledge and improve health care practice by conducting scientific and clinical investigations and by designing innovative health care curricula based on human factors, team training and simulation.
