The Florida Association of Area Agencies on Aging
Eleven partners, working as a team to help assure the merited right of Older Floridians to live their retirement years with dignity.

The Florida Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Network 
The Florida Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Network is an extensive, statewide system for health professional education and support founded upon 10 regional Area Health Education Centers. Each AHEC is supported by an AHEC program at one of the state's five medical schools. This organizational structure enables the AHECs to draw upon the resources of the academic health centers in addressing local health care issues. The Florida AHEC Network has, over this past decade, addressed the primary health care needs of Florida's most vulnerable populations through a series of innovative strategies designed to:

  • Extend Academic Health Resources
  • Provide Information and Support for Community Providers
  • Influence Health Professions Education
  • Influence the Future Health Professional Work Force

Florida Breast Cancer Foundation
The purpose of the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation is to raise awareness and mobilize Floridians to ensure sufficient government and public funding for breast cancer research, ensure quality health care for all without fear of discrimination and ensure an environment free of carcinogens.

Florida CHAIN (Community Health Action Information Network)
Florida CHAIN is a statewide network organization dedicated to improving the health of all Floridians by promoting sustainable access to affordable, effective health care.

Florida Health News
Florida Health News (FHN) posts health-related stories reported around the state, highlights the Florida impact of national stories, and tracks state health legislation.  FHN offers e-Alerts, a Monday-through-Friday news service, available at no charge,  by signing up at this site.

Florida Health News Inc., an independent online news service, is a not-for-profit journalistic enterprise that was launched in March 2007 with seed money from foundations.  Its mission is to inform the public on state and local health policy and finance issues as they develop.

Florida Hospital Association
The Purpose of the Association is to advocate proactively on behalf of hospitals at the state and federal levels on issues that will assist its memebers in their mission of community services and care to patients. Currently, FHA's membership includes 163 hospitals, 20 Professional Membership Groups, and over 1,800 professional members.

Florida Patient Safety Corporation
The Florida Patient Safety Corporation (FPSC) is dedicated to continuously improving patient safety in the state by serving as a learning and research organization. FPSC fulfills its mission of assisting health care providers to enhance the quality and safety of health care and reduce harm to patients by working with other patient safety programs and organizations committed to patient safety. FPSC's web site provides a single point of access to education and research resources that help promote excellence in health care in Florida.

University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital,Center for Patient Safety
The UM-JMH Center for Patient Safety seeks to stimulate the growth of patient safety knowledge and improve health care practice by conducting scientific and clinical investigations and by designing innovative health care curricula based on human factors, team training and simulation.
