Dr. Tangir earned his medical degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas. He completed a research fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Harvard Medical School, residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Yale University School of Medicine. His ares of expertise include radical and minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) surgery for treatment of gynecologic cancers as well as for complex non malignant gynecologic conditions: fertility-preserving cancer surgery, modern chemotherapy and palliative care.
