Mini Biography:

Dr. Barbara Abernathy has a PhD in Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and 15 years experience in Oncology. She is currently the Program Director for the Pediatric Oncology Support Team. Her dissertation research was on Identity, Posttraumatic Growth and Psychological Adjustment in Adults Living with or Surviving Cancer. She has presented numerous times at national, state and local conferences, and has been the recipient of several awards
